Windy and Chilly and still beautiful!

Days like today remind me of just why I live here.

​I woke to silence. The air still and crisp waited outside my bedroom door which opens to our views. With a cup of coffee I found my way outside, looking down from my deck to the Freeman / Matterhorn circle. Instead of seeing the typical rooftops below a cloud had settled making my home cloud-front property. Absolutely gorgeous. Calm. Nothing else.

​My past life consisted of waking before the sun and heading into L.A. or toward an airport before the rest of SoCal rolled out of bed. The stress that attacks us throughout our days is not so visible once we are accustomed. We become immune to all else and often forget what is actually important; our families, friends, and lifestyle. 

​There is little out beyond our village that I care to see most days. I'm happy being within a mile of everything that I need for my happiness. I now live truly a simple life. I wish everyone could experience a day like today.
