The Forest Service has put the fire danger as HIGH for this area. Please be extra Careful, ** Please do not flick your cigarettes butts out the car window or toss on the ground, they could cause a wildfire that would destroy homes and lives. Please remind your friends and neighbors. Life as we know it would be gone with just one careless flick of a cigarette. Thursday Night Dinner will be Pepper Steak with Rice and a salad. $9.99, 5pm in the Lounge. Friday Night we will have Jukebox Friday 7pm in the Lounge. Saturday Night: Hollywood Hillbillies will entertain us 7pm in the Lounge (County, Country Rock) This Wednesday they will be doing crafts in the rec room from 3 to 5pm. This week they will be making Muscle System hand crafts. Committee Meetings: Rec Committee meets Thursday 10:30am in the Lounge. Greens and Grounds Committee meets Friday 9am in the Pro-shop Environmental Control Committee meets Friday at 2pm in the Condor Room Governing Docs Committee meets Saturday 9am in the Pool Pavilion Planning Committee Meets Saturday 1pm in the Pool Pavilion Pool is open. Please see schedule in the Club house lobby. You will need to sign a pool waiver and have your member/guest cards with current 18/19 or 19/20 stickers on them. Most of the Fish have been returned to Ferns Lake. It’s an ongoing process, please be patient. Reminder: Barbless hooks only, it’s a catch and release lake! Sign up for Line Dancing classes that starts August 6th thru the 22nd on Tuesdays and Thursdays, it will be cancelled if a minimum of 15 people does not sign up. 5-6pm is beginners $40.00 and 6-7pm is intermediate $40.00. Call the Office 661-242-3788 or come by to sign up. We are looking for volunteers to help with the Condor Mailing on the Last Wednesday of each month at 9am for 2-3 hours. If you’re interested please call Gail at the Business Office 661-242-3788. Important: Per Article 7: Rules regarding Wildlife. The feeding of bears, mountain Lions, bobcats, raccoons, foxes and/or coyotes is strictly prohibited on any lot or other portion of the Pine Mountain Development. This prohibition will be strictly enforced. The association shall investigate all reports of feeding wildlife and if deemed a violation, a citation shall be issued and the Department of Fish and Wildlife shall be notified. Employment Opportunities: Server Stable Hand/Maintenance Worker Please see details of the jobs that are posted on the board across from the front desk in the clubhouse lobby and come by the office for an application. The Transfer site will be staying open late on Thursday nights (till 7pm). Please remember, don’t use Round up or any poison on weeds in your yard. Deer and rabbits eat those. Summer Camps: We still have room for the following camps for Kids. Soccer, Writing Poetry, Beginners Tennis, and Art. These are all $30.00 per camp per student. We also have Horsemanship at the EQ center for $60.00 an hour. Please see the flyer in the clubhouse lobby for dates and times of each camp. Fiesta Days – Friday August 2nd to Sunday August 4th at the Frazier Mtn Park in Frazier. Fun for the whole family. Rides, Craft Booths etc. Free Admission & Parking. The Assessment amount for 19/20 is $1,604.00. To avoid late fees, it must be paid in full by September 16th 5pm. You can mail a check to PO Box P. Pine Mountain Club, CA 93222, come by the office, call us with a credit card or use the website to pay. Pickleball has moved its Monday start time to 8am and will still also meet at 7pm on Wednesdays on the tennis/pickleball court. FUTURE: From the Pro-shop: Friday night Scramble schedule is as follows: The dates are every other Friday 5pm. Please call the pro-shop to sign up 661-242-3734. It is a $5 buy-in and an optional $2 closest to the hole. The dates are as followed: August 9th August 23rd September 6th September 20th October 4th Water Aerobics starts up again August 5th. It will be every Monday and Wednesday 9-10am. It will run for 4 weeks. Last class is Wednesday August 28th. Family Movie Night – Thursday August 8th on the Golf Course 8pm. The Movie will be “Ralph Breaks the Internet”. Bring chairs or blanket and snacks. No glass containers and please pick up any wrappers or trash when you leave. Family Swim Night – Friday August 9th 6-10pm at the PMC Pool. Hot Dogs, Chips and Beverages will be available for Purchase. Comedy Night - Friday August 9th 7pm in the Condor Room featuring Howard Berger. He has performed in Comedy clubs, parties and corporate events. He has written for Rodney Dangerfield and others and has been on VH1. Tickets are $10.00. Come by the PMC office or call 661-242-3788 to purchase. The Home Security Fair is August 10th in the Clubhouse – Condor Room 8-11am. Home Security is a crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with local police to prevent and reduce crime in Pine Mountain Club. Some of the vendors that are going to attend include: Crime prevention from a sheriff Self Defense Instructor Alarm Installer K9 Specialist Child safety specialist Run to the Pines Car show - Saturday August 10th in the Pine Mountain Village. www.runtothepinesautoshow.com/ Artflix at Artworks (in the village) August 15th - they will be showing “Mr. Turner” one of Britain’s most revered painters. This film is a rich portrait of a complex, contradictory man whose relationships with his family, fellow artists, and lovers were often as turbulent as the canvasses he painted. The film depicts Turner’s last 25 years of his life. FREE Everything Exchange is August 25th at the Tennis court Parking lot. 10-3pm. Small household items, music, books, office items, computer software, jewelry, knick knacks, lines, rugs, small tools, sports equipment, toys, games, etc. etc.. A community swap meet where you can give, take or both for free! To donate items call Pam 661-242-2035 or Tara 661-242- 6901. Sierra Club will meet August 25th 5-7pm in the Pool Pavilion. PMC Songwriting Festival – Live Performances, master classes and workshops by world class music industry veterans. All Proceeds benefit “Aging in Place” in PMC. See flyer in Clubhouse lobby. Rock n Roll Reunion Musical --- September 13,14,15 & Sept 20th. 7:30pm performances except 2pm on Sept 15th in the Condor Room at the Clubhouse.
