I guess the real question is, "what is not happening?"

With weather becoming the prime reason to go outside we are all pulled into the hills. There is no better place this time of year than Pine Mtn Club to find the seclusion and stroll various hiking trails.

​Everything is in order right now. The animals are beginning to stretch their legs after a the frost. The seedlings are scratching their way to the surface to find sunlight. The ground is moist and conditions perfect for new life to begin. As members who live here full time, we enjoy watching the process of change and growth.

​That includes our new friends who are moving to the hill. So many new faces and stories to see and hear. We are indeed blessed to be a part of these folks journeys.

​It seems that folks know they want a change. They may not know exactly what the change they are looking for actually is until later. But they begin to find their place in the hill, away from the brain damage of the city life, and they shed the extra weight of this or that along the way.

They put in an offer. They move in. Things begin to clear up for them. The stars are as big as nickels in the sky. They find the air as chill and fresh as the first day of springtime. They wake to the day break without any sound whatsoever but perhaps the crisping of bacon their lover is cooking, or their child romping on the deck, or their own heart beating against the pillow. They have found their place.
